Fishin' with the kiddos

Since it was such a nice weekend - and a BUSY one, at that - we took advantage of Opening Day for Fishing and headed out to American Lake.

Not Shawn's first choice for lakes to fish on, but considering the time frame we had to work with, it was just the easiest.

We didn't catch anything major. Anna was the only one, with a tiny Perch that we threw back.

Ah well, we have the WHOLE summer to try for more!

Cole seemed to get bored easily - go figure.

I got a little teary-eyed - I was so amazed, impressed, taken aback and fulfilled by what I saw.

Until I'm here...

We're here, *we're*.... I gotta remember that part. he he

Two days and we'll be on a plane to --- THE BAHAMAS!!!

I can't WAIT to see that water. I "mmmm" about it every time I see a commercial or photo. Shawn makes fun of me now.

But I think I've dreamed of it since I was, like, 10 years old.

The blog will be flooded with ACTUAL, original Caribbean photos when I get back.

Anna-banana. She's almost 15 - can you believe it?!?

We were lucky enough to have her over for this past weekend and on thru Wednesday, since she's on Spring Break. We hope to have her back again on Friday, crossing our fingers!

Cole & Anna had such a great time with the amazing SUNSHINE - yes, you read correctly, sunshine - playing street hockey (and making up their own rules), riding bikes, soccer, baseball and badmitton. I think Sunday and Monday hovered at almost 70 degrees! It was so great to have Spring here, even if it was for just a few days.

Anna also had a Spring Choir concert last week and she did an amazing job. She's got such a beautiful soprano voice and got so many compliments on her composure, stature and natural beauty.
